A Date for Four
Poor Marleen! Things are going from bad to worse for her: instead of going to Italy, she and her sister have to spend the school holidays in England, attending a language school. The sisters are given accommodation with Mrs White, a widow with a dilapidated manor house. And, to top it all, it rains non-stop! In desperation, Marleen starts rummaging round the old house, and she finds lots of antique objects in the cellar; she can't wait to tell everyone at school about her discoveries.
A few days later, Mrs White's sons Gareth and Clive come home from boarding school, and especially Clive is nice to look at, Marleen thinks. At first, though, she acts super cool, until one night there is a burglary - now all four of them have to work together to the catch the robbers.
