A Heavenly Case for Four Paws

Mephistopheles the tomcat, who goes by the name of Stoffele, is dying to play detective, just once in his life. And so he persuades his mistress to write a story for a crime thriller competition - with none other than her favourite cat in the role of investigator. Unfortunately there's a serious shortage of exciting crimes in their snowbound village and the collaboration with his mistress is not going according to plan either - she is far more interested in enjoying a peaceful run up to Christmas, baking Christmas cookies and suchlike. But then Stoffele stumbles upon the perfect case after all: the 'Big Cat' constellation is missing the star at the tip of its tail - the brightest star, the one that shone two thousand years ago above the stable in Bethlehem - and now Christmas is in danger of not taking place at all...

Press acclaim for earlier novels in this series

"The conversations between the author and her cat during the course of their friendship are quite wonderfully wise and clever, and often touchingly poetic and downright magical - and therefore true to life."

  • Stuttgarter Zeitung on Everything for the Cat

"These books make you happy!"

  • Flensburger Tageblatt on Happiness is a Cat and Not Without My Cat!
