In Tosca's Shadow

The first time young Elia Corelli hears the world-famous opera star Mariana Lipovska sing, it's as if she has found her soul mate - and, at the same time, her vocation. And the diva herself senses it when Elia stands in front of her after the concert, exhilarated: the car mechanic's daughter is blessed with a remarkable musical talent.

From that moment on, Mariana devotes all her free time to training the enchanting girl's voice. But in marked contrast to Mariana's fantastic career, the young woman has to cope with scorn and snobbery - until she gets her big break with her first major role, like her idol, in Tosca.
