Julius

Julius is the story of a young man striking out on his own. It's also the story of the eponymous protagonist's friendship with Martin, a sports-mad French student. And it's the moving and tragic love story of Julius and Jadwiga, and Julius's only seemingly successful relationship with Caroline. We first encounter Julius as he moves out of his parents' home, we follow him on long walks through an unnamed town and accompany him through the changing seasons. On the surface, he is very much the modern young man, but his attitude to affairs of the heart is archaically romantic.

In this short but intense coming-of-age novel, we follow spellbound as Julius shakes off the last shackles of his childhood and sets out on a new phase of his life.
