»Where has Dine got to?« Marlene wonders.

»Dine didn't turn up.« I whisper in a spooky voice .

»So who's that then?« asks Marlene, pointing at the wimpy boy with the thick horn-rimmed glasses, that would be too old-fashioned even for my great-grandfather.

»That's Dine« I reply flatly .

That's all Emma needed! Her Swedish exchange called Dine turns out to be a boy! And, to make matters worse, Dine is the most embarrassing male specimen imaginable. Emma can't bear to be seen in public with him. But then during one of her summer jobs she meets Mick! He's drop dead gorgeous and Emma falls for him straight away. Unfortunately her classmate Katharina gets there first. So she has no choice but to spend the whole day with Dine. And, to her amazement, she ends up having a great time with him.
