Longing for Happiness
We CAN be happy!
As long as we live we yearn for something - there always seems to be something missing. We wish for lasting happiness, complete serenity and unconditional love. The upshot of this is that we frequently lose sight of the happiness that is already within reach.
In this book, Thomas Hohensee combines ancient wisdom such as Buddhism and Taoism with modern research into happiness. He looks into the question of why ever-lasting happiness will always remain a utopian dream. But he also illustrates how, with the help of cognitive therapy, along with the willingness to keep learning and maintaining our creativity throughout life, we can achieve a greater degree of contentment.
