Rita and Charline-Elke are both in their mid-thirties but that's about all they have in common. Rita is thoroughly fed up - with her job, with men like Jürgen and his kind, with her parents' reproachful glances. Charline, on the other hand, couldn't be in a happier place. Well… if it wasn't for the suffocating ennui that is increasingly taking over her life. In order to escape their daily drudgery, the two friends regularly go on armchair travels - or rather couch tours - dreaming up the craziest of adventures. This time they're off to London. But they have hardly boarded the plane when a man is killed before their eyes. In the company of two dashing Scotland Yard inspectors they spend a few madly exciting days in the capital. But do they really have the guts to change their lives?
