- Matthias Morgenroth
The Alchemist's Son
The first encounter between Marie, the miller's maidservant, and Jakob, the son of Parisian scholar Nicolas Flamel, is ill-fated. Jakob was travelling with his father on the pilgrim's path to Santiago de Compostela, but they got separated when they were ambushed by robbers. Jakob and Marie set out to search for his father together. Soon they find more and more evidence that the notorious Count Gonzalo is trying to force the famous alchemist to make gold for him.
