The Culture of Change
A spiritual approach to management culture
Leadership is an essential part of corporate culture, and as such should ideally be aligned with the western value system - in other words, the classical teachings of the cardinal virtues (Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude, Justice), and their counterparts, the cardinal (or deadly) sins (Avarice, Gluttony, Lust, Envy, Pride, Sloth, Wrath).
The new vision of management expects executives to display a "perfect attitude", which includes being capable of self-critical reflection and being an example for their workforce in terms of achieving a synthesis of credibility, performance and change.
This book will help you rethink the leadership role. The key is to lead the way but at the same time be mindful and never lose sight of your co-workers, while making sure you give them room to develop their skills and assets. Anyone who wants to motivate people in uncertain times needs to have the strength of personality to win them over.
