The Nine-Spice Blend

One winter's day just before Christmas, Sami discovers a little glass vial full of unrecognisable grains in a graveyard. He takes the vial to the nearest pharmacy, where petite red-headed pharmacist Katharina sniffs at it, then blushes crimson and bashfully discloses the nature of its contents to Sami. A few days and several vials of spice later, Sami and Katharina decide to join forces in an attempt to solve the mystery, and as they set about unravelling an old lady's fragrant secret, their friendship begins to deepen...
