Martina Baumbach was born in1969 and lives near Munich with her family, writing stories and novels for children. In 2005, she was awarded the City of Munich’s Scholarship for Children and Young Readers’ Literature for her first novel, and in 2007 she won the prestigious Ulmer Bilderbuchspatz.
