Fairy Fat

Jill (whose real name is Gundula) is a forty-something woman struggling to kick-start a career as a comedian in Berlin. Her new agent takes her to Cologne, where she sniffs out the chance of a lifetime—but her new show needs to go with a bang! For the time being she moves in with ex-boyfriend Severin, but discovers that he already has a visitor—his 15-year-old daughter. Felicia hides her bulky body under tent-like pullovers; she plays truant, has no friends whatsoever and escapes into a fantasy world in which she is a slim, self-assured fairy. Jill and Felicia make tentative inroads towards getting to know each other—and then one day Jill finds out about Felicia’s fantasy world and it sparks a brilliant idea for a promising new comedy sketch. Her agent is thrilled, but as yet Felicia has no idea of what Jill is planning…
