Holidays, at last!

Ruby is looking forward to relaxing with her friends and celebrating Ben’s birthday in style. But, of course, her weird family has other plans ... And so, instead, they’re off to a coffin market in the provinces. The castle-complete-with-a-pool that her dad promised her turns out to be nothing more than a dump – a haunted dump at that. Ruby just wants to go home and, more than anything else, to see Ben.
But when, in the hotel, Ruby finds an old diary that belonged to a girl her age, she realises that she has to take her fate into her own hands. She fakes an injury – surely now her parents will let her go home?

  • A different kind of holiday – coffins instead of deckchairs
  • Ruby is lovably quirky and wonderfully funny
