Lara, a biologist, has bought a homestead on one of Germany’s uninhabited Hallig Islands and recruited a small team with the aim of cultivating it organically. But not long after they arrive, strange things begin to happen. First, Lara’s brother, Malte, disappears without a trace. Then suddenly, they lose all radio communication. The group is cut off from the outside world, and dangerous sea currents make escape impossible. Lara is convinced they are not alone on the island.
