The Ice Skater

“Darling, I think there’s something you ought to know. You are the president.”

The president of a western industrial nation is travelling on the Trans-Siberian railway when she is struck on the head by a falling signboard. The accident has far-reaching consequences – Mrs P. loses her memory and wakes up every morning believing she is twenty years in the past. It is essential that Mrs P. remains in office, so to ensure that she can execute her duties as smoothly as possible, she is brought up to date on a daily basis. But there are remarkable repercussions – Mrs P. is suddenly acting with startling spontaneity and approaches her governmental tasks with a refreshingly open mind. Still more amazingly, she’s even displaying greater decisiveness, not to mention a certain amount of passion!
