The president of a western industrial nation is travelling on the Trans-Siberian railway when she is struck on the head by a falling signboard. The accident has far-reaching consequences – Mrs P. loses her memory and wakes up every morning believing she is twenty years in the past. It is essential that Mrs P. remains in office, so to ensure that she can execute her duties as smoothly as possible, she is brought up to date on a daily basis.
