Vienna, 1898: Young Irma Rehberger loves her stallion Novio more than anything. When he has to be sold to save her family’s stud farm, her world falls apart. She decides to follow her horse to the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Disguised as a groom, she starts her training as an élève, but, lacking a noble background, life is not easy for her. Her teacher Stephan soon becomes aware of her extraordinary talent and spurs her on. Over time, Irma feels more and more attracted to him – but, when her cover is blown, she has to leave Novio behind. Is she to lose Novio? Will she never see Stephan again?
