Madeleine Prahs was born 1980 in Chemnitz, grew up on the banks of Lake Ammer in Bavaria and now lives and works as a cultural journalist in Leipzig. Her literary work has won her many awards, including the Jürgen-Ponto-Stiftung bursary and the Berlin Literary Colloquium scholarship.
