Lu is about to get a baby sister or brother – which means her family moves into a bigger place and she has to leave her apartment and her best friend behind. Lu thinks this is a terrible idea and decides she’s going back home. Fortunately, she’s not alone on this adventure: The neighbours’ guinea pig, Dill, turns out to be a real live guinea pig fairy! It’s not very good at flying (due to poor aerodynamics) and not much better at doing magic, but it’s an expert at boosting courage. And that’s exactly what Lu needs for her adventure.

Nora Hoch, born in 1983, pursued degrees in Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice in Hildesheim, and now works as a dramatic advisor and drama teacher in Berlin. Her debut novel ‘The Saltwater Year’ was nominated for several prizes.

Susanne Göhlich, born in 1972, is a freelance illustrator. She took up drawing while studying history of art in Leipzig, and has never put down her pencil since, producing illustrations for posters, textbooks and children’s fiction.
