Frederica Fluteshocker – A Ghost in Search of Her Bottle
Two children, one ghost and a missing bottle
When Leonie blows into an old flute in the basement of her school, spirit-in-a-bottle Baroness Frederica von Fallersbach suddenly floats in the air in front of her. And immediately things get lively. It’s not just that Frederica can only get back into her flute when Leonie farts. (But try to fart on demand! And in front of others!!) Also, Frederica’s most recent excursion outside her flute was in 1738. Our modern world completely overwhelms her. Even worse, Frederica is a spirit-in-the-bottle who has been living inside the flute for far too long. This means that she must now move into a bottle within 48 hours – to be exact, into HER bottle! Or she will simply dissolve. Of course, Leonie and her friend Erjon step up to the challenge and start looking for Frederica’s bottle.

Madlen Ottenschläger
Madlen Ottenschläger, born in 1979, studied Communication, German Literature and Political Science in Munich and trained at the German School of Journalism. After working as a freelance journalist for leading German media, including Die ZEIT, she became an editor and currently works for Brigitte.
