Peggi Rudischhauser used to work in the event industry. She sprinted from event to event, lived in the big city and was constantly on edge. Then Covid hit. When she was forced to come to a complete standstill, her life changed fundamentally. She moved back to the Ore Mountains, surrounded by nature, where she discovered her love for mushrooms. Equipped with a basket, mushroom knife and phone, which she uses to record her trips on social media, Peggi now roams through the forest, without deadlines or stress and just herself and the incredible diversity of the mushroom world for company. Peggi takes us along on these foraging adventures and explains which mushrooms to find in which month, which equipment is essential and much more.

Peggi Rudischhauser
Peggi Rudischhauser was born in the GDR and grew up as a nature-loving child in Germany’s Ore Mountains. She worked as self-employed corporate event manager in Cologne for almost 25 years. These days, she’s a wild mushroom identification expert living in an old house at the end of the woods and sharing her fascination for the realm of fungi on social media (@macshroomster).
