Sometimes I Would Like to Be a Shark
Timo loves sharks, the sea and his dad
As Timo finds a big, ancient shark tooth on the beach, he knows at once: This is the perfect present for his dad, who couldn’t go on holiday with him! He had to work; at least that’s what Timo thinks. He is looking forward to telling Dad about Italy, about the beach, the sea and diving. But then everything turns out quite differently.
Actually, Timo’s father has left the family. As they return, his room in the house is empty. The only thing left on the floor is a button that fell off his favourite pair of trousers. But luckily Timo is not alone: He still has his best friend Donnie, his mum and Uncle Hanno! And he discovers that he can be as strong as a shark.
- A book to reassure children when a parent leaves the family
- A great friendship story of two boys who would do anything for each other, know each other’s weaknesses and strengths and like each other for who they are
- Many short chapters that even primary school children can manage well
