Never underestimate a man with(out) a plan
‘It's a man's world', James Brown once sang, and that was clearly the case then. But that time is long gone now, and so is the certainty that men are the ones in charge. Today's men have to meet a wide range of demands: they have to raise (gender-neutral) children, eat a conscious (vegan) diet, be able to cook, watch their figure, be practical, be strong, be sensitive, give compliments (no sexist ones!) and, if possible, know all the latest feminist authors.
Isn’t that all way too much? "Oh, come on," says author Michael Witt, "Take it like a man!" Male authority has long been an illusion anyway. As the saying goes: behind every strong man there is a woman who rolls her eyes.

Michael Witt, born in 1973, has worked in various management positions for the newspapers WELT, WELT am Sonntag and Bild am Sonntag, among others. Today he is a freelance journalist, systemic coach and consultant and is currently training to become a couples’ and family therapist.
