Moving from Berlin to Krakow has certainly been a lot for Edith to take in … She and her little brother have known about their parents’ plans to move for ages – she has even been taking Polish lessons. But still, it’s been quite the adjustment, losing her city, her friends and her language all in one go.
Although a bit cautious at first, Edith quickly throws herself headfirst into her new life. She begins to explore Krakow with her new friends, Milena and Antek. Soon they stumble upon a mysterious pile of letters in a hidden room. What could they possibly contain? Let the adventure begin! And as the mysteries unfold, Edith is brought closer to Krakow, to the city at once foreign and close.

Antje Bones
Antje Bones, born in 1970, studied Philosophy and English in Cologne. She has been writing for children and young adults since 2003. In 2017, she won a scholarship to the Villa Decius in Krakow. She lives in Berlin.

Michael Szyszka
Michael Szyszka, born in 1984, studied Communication Design in Düsseldorf, Krakow and Münster. He works as an illustrator as well as a lecturer. He has lived in Cologne since 2015.
