Tina and Markus have been married for almost twenty years and their love has seen better days. Markus is so weighed down by the grinding routine of everyday life and his eternal money worries that one day he finally blows a fuse, and without thinking twice holds up a petrol station.
Tina witnesses the hold-up completely by chance and is shocked to the core. In a panic, the two of them make their escape in the first vehicle they can get their hands on—which happens to be an ambulance, of all things. Little do they know they have 87-year-old Oskar on board—but Oscar turns out to be a very shrewd former small-time criminal who has all sorts of tricks up his sleeve that come in rather handy for the latter-day Bonnie and Clyde.
