The Magic Sword
Children & Young Adult, Children's Books, Children's Books Age 8+, Children's Books Adventure / Crime
It actually works! Tim always refused to believe that it was possible to travel through time with Robert’s new magic sword, yet suddenly the two friends find themselves in the Middle Ages at the Castle of the Small Knights of Wackerstein. For a long time now, these little knights have been receiving repeated challenges from the rough and tumble Robber Knights of Castle Wolfeck on the other side of the valley. However it’s not enough to make threats or write snide letters full of spelling mistakes: if you want to force someone to fight, you need to throw down the gauntlet and have your opponent pick it up – that is the law of the knights. But the virtuous little knights know better than to pick up any gauntlets.
Yet Tim knows that wherever Robert turns up, there is bound to be havoc. And so it goes without saying that he’s the one to pick up the next glove that comes flying over the castle walls. Do the Small Knights really have to take on the powerful Wild Wolves? The friends throw themselves into the adventure and use every trick they know to hoodwink the scuffling robber knights …
Press acclaim for the first volume of Anu Stohner’s Robert and the Knights series:
"Stohner succeeds wonderfully in striking a youthful and witty tone." Süddeutsche Zeitung
"This is a wild adventure full of fun and noise, action-packed to the brim! Let’s hope we get another instalment soon." bjl - Bulletin Jugend & Literatur
