Azurro Again – The wonderful lightness of Italy

Finally travelling again, finally in Italy again. Finally just like the first time again.

It was only when we were not allowed to leave the country that we realized the value of travelling. How often have we imagined packing our bags and heading south? Stefan Ulrich has decided to sample, taste and experience anew the country he has known since childhood, the country he has worked in and to which he owes his successful books. Motorways are taboo, side-streets a must. Time is of no consequence; it is travel in its elementary sense. He roams from the Alps to the Etna, stops over in places he has never been before, and meets people who bring him even closer to his object of fascination – Bella Italia.
'An ancient place in its fiery colours, green hills rolling off into the horizon, and in the distance a bluish-white haze announcing the nearness of the sea: beauty, harmony and a hint of mystery – this combination has been enticing me since my childhood. To just pack my bags and head straight there.' Stefan Ulrich

  • After a long period of abstinence, travelling feels as exciting and new as it did the first time around
  • Stefan Ulrich captures the magic of this country aromatically, colourfully and atmospherically
