When it comes to divorce, our author Frauke Angel is a professional. Herself a child of divorced parents – twice – and finding herself at the end of her own marriage at the time of writing this guide, she experienced the fallout from her divorce herself. Frauke Angel was born in 1974 in the Ruhr area. For 20 years, she worked as a stage actress, and also as a cleaner, saleswoman, grave tender, welder, barender, air guitarist and ghost-writer. In 2015 she began writing. Frauke Angel is a member of the Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis, a member of the Bundeskongress Kinderbuch and most recently an honorary member of the Divorced Persons’ Club.
Meike Töpperwien, born in 1979 in Göttingen, completed a degree in design in Braunschweig. She works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for various publishers, periodicals and cultural institutions. She lives with her family in Braunschweig.
