Camping
The little pleasures and big adventures to be had on a camp site
A few poles, a thin nylon covering, a groundsheet and a sleeping bag – the only thing missing to make it feel just like home, in the opinion of certain people, is the sputter and hiss of the camping gas cooker. Others need a portable oven, a folding kitchen cabinet, a colour television, a garden fence, or at least a pot plant. Camping is affordable, brings you close to nature, and enables you to meet new people; it can be a bit of an adventure, is sometimes romantic – but invariably an unforgettable and enriching experience.
