Alex Rühle, born in 1969, studied literature, philosophy and French in Munich, Berlin and Paris. Since 2001 he worked as cultural editor for Süddeutsche Zeitung, since 2022 as correspondant for Scandinavia. Rühle writes Non-Fiction and childrens books, he lives with his family in Munich and Stockholm.
Axel Scheffler is one of the world’s most successful children’s book illustrators. He was born in Hamburg in 1957, and has worked as a freelance illustrator in London since completing his studies at the Bath Academy of Art. His books’ unmistakable, humorous drawings are loved around the world. With The Gruffalo, published with author Julia Donaldson, he created a work now acknowledged as a modern children’s classic. Axel Scheffler lives with his family in London.
