A journey into the self
The final summer before graduation is supposed to be something special. Max wants to travel to Finland by sailboat and without any money. Svenja and Ole decide to take a different way there by hitching rides on freight trains. The three of them plan to meet in Tornio, never suspecting that by the end of their journeys, they will no longer be the same people. Svenja is dating Ole but is secretly in love with Max. Ole has no idea about Svenja’s feelings for Max but has his own reasons for planning to break up with her after their trip. And Max, still suffering the impact of his twin sister’s suicide, has no intention of ever arriving in Finland at all.
