Happy End - The Pursuit of Happiness (and Its Illusion)
What if happiness isn’t what we think it is?
In this sharp, witty, and thought-provoking exploration, bestselling author Florian Schroeder dives headfirst into the modern happiness industry. From life coaching and cuddle workshops to drugs and digital wellness apps, he tests the promises of a culture obsessed with feeling good. He even meets those who find joy in pain.
Schroeder’s take is direct, ironic and unapologetically curious. With a mix of personal experience and cultural critique, he asks: What does make us truly happy - and what do we just think makes us happy? Perhaps happiness is what we experience when we stop chasing it?
