Not Having a Party Is Not the Solution Either
Children's Books Friends / Family
»My name is Jagoda, which is Polish for blueberry, and to all the adults reading this: It’s not cool to name a child after a fruit.«
But her stupid name is the least of Jagoda’s problems. There’s something much worse: She’s invited Mia to her birthday party – which is not happening! And there’s a good reason for that: Jagoda lives in a women’s refuge with her mother, and no one can know, in case her dad finds her. A birthday party in a women’s refuge? Out of the question! But no party at all is not a solution either, otherwise Mia may decide to cancel their friendship. Jagoda needs a watertight plan, and she’s running out of time. In four days and without any money, Jagoda is going to throw the best party ever!
- Authentic children’s everyday life – in a women’s refuge
- Told with honesty, empathy and energy – a touching and uplifting children’s book
- A strong heroine unflinchingly pursuing her goals
