Katharina von der Gathen was born in 1972. She studied Special Needs Education and works with children and adolescents from a wide range of educational backgrounds. She lives in Bonn with her husband and four children.

Anke Kuhl, born in 1970, studied Illustration and has been a freelance illustrator since 1998. She lives in Frankfurt with her family.
