Pinot Grigio Wasn’t in the Will (vol. XV)
Wine, men and evil
The legendary South Tyrolean winemaker Franz Karling suffers a heart attack while diving in the Red Sea. However, his daughter suspects he didn’t die of natural causes, and she confides her doubts to the photographer Frank Gatow, who is currently staying at the Karling Vineyard to do research for his forthcoming illustrated history of South Tyrolean vineyards. Once Gatow witnesses the volatile fights between the heirs in the Karling home, the daughter’s suspicion of murder no longer seems quite so absurd.
- Story is set in South Tyrol, Italy
