War of the Starfish

Oysters, eels, and other aliens

Piet Paulsen can’t believe his eyes: UFOs? Over Fredenbüll? Surely not… But his eyes are not deceiving him. Hovering and glowing – aliens have landed behind the dam! When a dead body is found in the newly formed crop circle, usual investigative methods yield no results. Village policeman Thies Detlefsen and his colleague, Chief Superintendent Nicole Stappenbek from Husum, are stumped.

In the dog days of summer, strange things are happening in Fredenbüll. Driverless cars race across the countryside, crops grow like weeds, and a mysterious drumming echoes through the night. Has the coastal border town been targeted by a malevolent, extra-terrestrial force? Let Thies Detlefsen’s marvellously Martian twelfth case begin!
