Dead men can’t bake rolls
Old grifter Hans-Peter Scholz, or Scholle for short, is planning the last big crime of his life with other former members of his gang. Far from the casino in Travemünde, the gang now plans to rob a small-town bank. They plot to dig a tunnel from the local bakery into one of the vaults. Good thing Scholle’s brother Timo, a trained baker, has just started work there. But when a man, dressed in the chequered baker’s uniform, is found dead one day near the bins, Scholle’s digging must come to a standstill. The area now has a bread shortage to reckon with – and the bored local police chief, Thies Detlefsen, finally has another murder on his hands!
Krischan Koch
Krischan Koch was born in Hamburg in 1953, where he works as a film critic for a German broadcast station and a major weekly newspaper. He and his wife live in Hamburg and on the North Sea island of Amrum.
