The White Halibut

Fiction, Thriller / Crime

Watch out, biting fish!

It’s a picture-perfect summer on Amrum. Half of Fredenbüll and the entire “Hidde Kist” are vacationing here. On the bustling beach, a wave suddenly washes up a woman’s severed foot onto little Finn’s shovel. Everyone stares at the water, transfixed, as a huge fish rams itself into a dinghy. Instead of the relaxed vacation atmosphere that had been there before, mass panic now spreads like wildfire. Has the murderous fish already kill this woman? The well-oiled duo of Detlefsen and Stappenbek investigate the range of possibilities. Among the hordes of tourists, protesting environmental activists, eccentric superstar chefs, vengeful real estate agents, and one huge stray predatory fish, they search frantically for a killer.
