Leap in Time – From Walkman to Wifi
Welcome to the age of falafel, insta and helicopter parenting
It’s May 1985, and 12-year-old Roxy is having a perfectly normal day at school. While hiding from her arch-enemy Gaby in the school’s basement, however, she comes across a disused-looking door leading into a dark corridor. When Roxy emerges at the other end, everything has changed: School looks really odd, and the kids are staring at little boxes non-stop, talking to themselves and spouting stuff about “mow biles”, “tick, tock”, “man gas” and “what’s ap”. In hilarious letters to her friend Becky back in 1985, Roxy describes life in weird and wonderful 2025 – while trying to figure out how to get back to the past.
