Hurray, Schnuckendorf is newly twinned with a town in Greece, and the village promptly organises a trip to visit their new twin town. Of course, Penny and her friends are in! In Greece they stay with the director of an art museum, who immediately gives them a tour through the museum and all its ancient treasures. The statue of Athena, the goddess of strength and wisdom is especially impressive. With her spear and her cool helmet, she definitely looks like a powerful woman, which is just what Penny and her friends are. This Athena is missing one half of her right index finger, though (she probably picked her nose too much, haha). However, her finger is suddenly whole again during their next museum visit! How is that possible?! Very quickly it becomes apparent that the statue is forged! And the real one was stolen! Penny & Co. immediately start to investigate. Nevertheless, an extremely valuable, mystic gold coin goes missing shortly afterwards. Might the thief be responsible for both the statue and the coin?

Ulrike Rylance was born in 1968 and studied English and German in Leipzig and London. She was an assistant teacher in Wales and Manchester and also taught German in London. In 2001 she moved to Seattle with her husband and her two daughters.

Lisa Hänsch was born in 1988. She studied Design and Illustration in Münster and now lives in Brühl. As well as illustrating children‘s books, she works as a cartoon illustrator and animator.
