Granny has won a trip to London in a competition!
Luckily, the trip is for five people and Penny and her friends get to go along. But shortly after they arrive, Granny’s precious gold necklace goes missing – even though tour guide Emily had warned them so emphatically about pickpockets. And this isn’t the only theft. After visiting Big Ben, a camera, a pair of sunglasses and a wad of cash go missing. It’s no easy case for Penny and her friends, as there are plenty of suspects.

Ulrike Rylance was born in 1968 and studied English and German in Leipzig and London. She was an assistant teacher in Wales and Manchester and also taught German in London. In 2001 she moved to Seattle with her husband and her two daughters.
